Who says you have to forgo winter activities when you choose the Santa Monica homes market? The premier ICE at Santa Monica skating rink is a few blocks from Third Street Promenade – right near the Pacific Ocean and Southern California beach fun.

Santa Monica HomesICE is an integral part of holiday festivities for residents and visitors of Santa Monica properties. Winterlit celebrations include a ceremonial tree and menorah lighting, Carol singing, charity giftwrapping, St. Nicholas and other exciting events.

Facilities and programs include an area for children ages 6 and under, skate rental, lessons, party packages, and private event accommodations.  The lighted rink stays open until 10:00 p.m. or midnight, making the facilities fit into a variety of busy schedules.  ICE is at the corner of Arizona Avenue and 5th Street.  The address is 1324 5th Street.

Schedule of Operation

ICE at Santa Monica is managed by Downtown Santa Monica. The seasonal schedule varies but usually opens the end of October through Christmas break. Call (310) 260-1199 for details.  Entry cost is $15 or $150 for 12 tickets.  Lockers can be rented for $5 each.

Monday through Thursday 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Friday: 2:00 p.m. – Midnight
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – Midnight
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Lessons

ICE at Santa Monica calls out to the transplants from northern climes and the mountains – everyone who grew up on ice skates.  It is also great for people who have no previous experience on ice.  Anyone desiring skating lessons is in luck.  The Randy Gardner School of Skating offers figure skating lessons.  The school takes the skater from the first steps on ice to more advanced levels.  Private and group lessons are available.
Party Packages

Celebrate with ease at ICE at Santa Monica.  Party packages accommodate 12 admissions for only $150 per party. $15 per extra skater. This price includes pizza and beverages.

ParkIng

There is plenty of convenient parking available in the seaside Southern California River will you neighborhood.  The Downtown City Parking Structures #1 and second Street and the City Parking  off 4th Street in #3.  Parking is free for 90 minutes and minimal for succeeding hours. The Big Blue Bus comes right to the rink.
